After the registration deadline, the selection of films for the official competition program of the 7th International Archaeology Film Festival begins.
Among a great number of films received, only those meeting professional and artistic qualities will be considered.
Students’ jury for the first time
The selected films will compete for one of the three jury awards, and for the Audience Award. This year’s festival brings one new award: for the first time a students’ jury composed of archaeology students (Zadar University), art history students (Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences) and conservation-restoration students (Arts Academy of Split) will have a chance to choose their favorite film.
Free entrance to the festival
Aiming at providing the ever-increasing local audience a seamless film experience, all foreign language films will have Croatian subtitles. Entry to the festival is free.
Authors of selected films will be notified about the selection results by mid-July and invited to submit material required for subtitling, festival catalog and festival promotion.
We wish to thank the directors and producers for submitting their films at our festival. We also appreciate the entries of films that haven’t made it through the selection wishing them more luck at other archaeology film festivals.
