Festival’s tweens and teens, between the ages of 7 and 15, will have the opportunity to participate in a rich accompanying program, this Saturday, November 9, 2024, at 10 a.m. at the Museum of Croatian Archaeological Monuments in Split.

Chroatorum Bellatores and a Short Course in Anatomy

By walking through the fascinating exhibition “Chroatorum bellatores – warriors in the early Middle Ages”, participants will have the opportunity to find out who Croatian warriors were and what they looked like in the early Middle Ages, what weapons they carried and with whom they fought. One of the most interesting parts of the exhibition is certainly a 3D reconstruction of the head of an early medieval warrior. Following the example of great scientists and researchers, during the “Short course in anatomy”, educational and fun portrait modelling workshop, participants will learn the basics of facial anatomy and the role that muscles play in our appearance. Portrait modelling will be done with playdough that will be applied to small 3D-printed skulls.

Finally, we have prepared a couple of children’s archeofilms that will be shown in the Museum’s cinema hall.

Due to the limited number of spots, it is necessary to register via email (mfafsplit@gmail.com) or social media.

Program duration: 120 minutes
