The First prize of the 8th International Archaeological Film Festival in Split went to the French film Mysteries of the Bayeux Tapestry, directed by Alexis de Favitski.
The jury awarded the Second prize to the film The Gold of Venice directed by Nicola Pittarello, while the Third was won by The Time They Spent Here directed by Ed Owles.
The winners at the 8th MFAF: two special awards
This year, the Expert jury awarded two special awards: for the short film it was awarded to Kurnati: the alphabet of memory – Walls, directed by Mateja Šarić, and for the long film, the award went to Black Italian Renaissance by director Christiano Di Mattia.
The Students’ Jury Award went to the film Iznik, a sunken enigma by author Pascal Guérin, while the best film according to the audience’s ratings was Mysteries of the Bayeux Tapestry, directed by Alexis de Favitski.
