{"id":1121,"date":"2022-11-30T09:00:56","date_gmt":"2022-11-30T08:00:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mfaf.hr\/en\/?p=1121"},"modified":"2022-12-20T16:18:42","modified_gmt":"2022-12-20T15:18:42","slug":"award-ceremony-7th-mfaf","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mfaf.hr\/en\/award-ceremony-7th-mfaf\/","title":{"rendered":"The award ceremony closes the 7th International Archaeological Film Festival"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The best film of the 7th International Archaeological Film Festival at the Museum of Croatian Archaeological Monuments in Split is the French film <em>Thus speaks Tar\u0101m-K\u016bbi<\/em> by Vanessa Tubiana-Brun and C\u00e9cile Michel.<\/p>\n<h3>The Festival expert jury and remaining award-winners<\/h3>\n<p>The main prize of the Festival was decided by an expert jury consisting of Dora Baras, jury president, filmologist and art historian, Janko Heidl, film critic, Nikolina Uroda, museum and scientific advisor, MHAS &#8211; Split, Ante Rendi\u0107-Mio\u010devi\u0107, long-standing director of the Archaeological Museum in Zagreb and long-standing president of the Croatian Archaeological Society, and G\u00e9rard Denegri, co-founder and first president of the Croatian-French association Alliance Fran\u00e7aise de Split, first honorary consul of the Republic of France in Croatia based in Split.<\/p>\n<p>The second prize of the expert jury was awarded to the film <em>Ladies and Princes of Prehistory<\/em>, by Pauline Coste and Camille Gouby-Monin, while the third prize was won by <em>The Dune People<\/em>, by David Geoffroy.\u00a0The prizes of the expert jury are a <a href=\"https:\/\/mfaf.hr\/en\/croatian-king-by-vasko-lipovac-award\/\">replica of The Croatian King, a sculpture by Vasko Lipovac<\/a>, kept at the Museum of Croatian Archaeological Monuments.\u00a0The audience award was won by the film <em>1001 Faces of Palmyra<\/em> by Meyar Al-Roumi.<\/p>\n<h3>First-ever prize of the student jury<\/h3>\n<p>Starting this year, the new prize is that of the student jury whose members were Frane Prpa, Vicenco Pijerov, Lucija Duplan\u010di\u0107, Rina Dubravec and Klaudia Hozjan, students of art history, archaeology and restoration-conservation at the universities of Split and Zadar. They rated <em>The Secret of the Cosquer Cave<\/em> by Marie Thiry and St\u00e9phan Milli\u00e8re as the best film.<\/p>\n<h3>21 films screened in three days with accompanying program<\/h3>\n<p>In the three-day festival program, 21 films from eight countries were screened in official competition, and two lectures by distinguished experts were given: Cyrille Gouyette, art historian, curator from the Louvre, author of influential books on how classical art inspires contemporary urban art, and Paraskevi Kalamara, directress of the Byzantine and Christian Museum in Athens.
